If you intend to wear your shirt with a tie or with the top button fastened, you will need to make sure you know your collar measurements first and then find a shirt that is closest to your chest measurements in the chart. If you’re not going to wear the shirt with a tie or top button fastened, you simply need to ensure that you find the shirt closest to your chest measurement. If you are in between two sizes, note that the smaller size will be more fitted than the larger size.

Place the measuring tape around the fullest part of your neck with the tape ending at the front of your neck just below your Adam’s apple.

The tape must rest lightly on your neck so that you can place one finger underneath the tape to ensure a comfortable fit. Make sure the tape is level around your neck as this might affect the measurement.

Place the measuring tape around your back and around the fullest part of your chest, which will be closest to your nipples. Hold the measuring tape under your armpits.

Do not flex or contract your Lats. Relax your shoulders and arms to give an accurate reading.

Place the measuring tape around the fullest part of your belly closest to your belly button. Do not flex your abs or suck in your stomach. The measuring tape should sit next to the skin, but not too tight.

Place the measuring tape at the centre back (nape of the neck, this is where the top of your shoulder blades meet when squeezed together).

Make sure you are standing straight and relaxed. Now, run the measuring tape over your shoulder and let it hang down just below your wrist bone.
