HAND CUT SHIRTS MADE IN ITALY
A COMMITMENT TO TRADITION
We wanted to build a brand that was founded on relationships and quality. We didn’t want to create shirts that were mass produced by machines in a country we had never been to; instead we wanted to come back to the beauty, skill and craftsmanship of tailoring with hands.
Our shirts represent a history of tailoring in Italy. We’ve partnered with a specialist factory in Italy with a renowned reputation of passing down years of skill and experience form one generation to a new generation. It's in this factory that our shirts are made from start to finish and then shipped to the UK for sale. The mill that supplies our fabrics is also located in Italy and delivers our fabrics directly to our chosen factory.
WE INVEST IN PEOPLE - NOT MACHINES
Our hand cut shirts are created by skilled craftsmen and not an assembly line of machines. The process of making one shirt involves 18 highly skilled individuals from start to finish guaranteeing a truly exceptional shirt. Every part of our shirts has been carefully selected to create a luxurious finish. We’ve specifically chosen high quality interlinings, mother of pearl buttons, and high quality resin buttons. Our seams have 17 /18 stitches per inch which is another sign of an exceptional dress shirt.
FABRIC
When you wear a Thomas & More- shirt, you’ll immediately notice and feel the luxurious quality of the fabric used. We have selected one of the most prestigious mills in Italy who produce fabrics to an incredible standard for some of the finest fashion brands like Zegna and Prada.
All our fabrics feel light and smooth next to the skin, whilst the stretch in the shirts provides constant movement and comfort.
BUTTONS
We are incredibly passionate about details, cleanly finished button holes with tightly sewn buttons is customary in all our shirts. We have specifically used more stitches around the button hole to create neat openings and demonstrate a superior finish.
